BlueCross/BlueShield of Tennessee's new 950,000 s.f. corporate offices are designed around an ethos of sustainability. HGOR's S.E.E. Philosophy was a natural augmentation for BlueCross/BlueShield's desire not only to build "green" but also to provide a quality work environment for almost 4,000 employees. Careful management and integration of stormwater interweaves throughout three major garden spaces and a central courtyard. The designed garden spaces include a natural forest and pond, a great lawn and an employee-managed organic vegetable garden. Each space emphasizes the important link between public health, well-being and our environment.
