project manager / landscape architect
HGOR is a firm focused on planning and designing great places for people, places that support clear returns on investment and provide a stewardship ethic for future generations. We call this our SEE philosophy (Social – Economic – Environmental) and use it as the yardstick to gauge the success of our work.
HGOR is seeking a smart, talented, self-motivated project manager with five or more years of experience. Candidate should have strong communication skills, as well as demonstrated proficiency in landscape architectural site design and master planning. Typically, this person will personally direct most aspects of a planning or design project, including providing instruction and guidance to staff landscape designers/architects, leading or participating in client presentations, and managing a project’s budget, schedule, and deliverables. They will generate thoughtful and innovative design ideas; produce sketches, drawings, and renderings to advance a project design; manage and produce construction document packages including hardscape, landscape, grading and drainage, detailing, and specifications. This position involves direct engagement with the firm’s principals and clients.
HGOR’s successful project managers demonstrate excellent initiative, judgment, and deductive reasoning, as well as strong presentation, listening, and communication skills. We expect determination, persistence and the ability to work as part of a team. We anticipate growth and create an environment that fosters learning and supports professional development for designers. Candidates must be passionate about landscape architecture and articulate their ability to create remarkable places that exceed client expectations.
