It has been an action-packed week with CBS46 hosting daily newscasts from Assembly Atlanta, where they have interviewed pivotal members of this exciting development!

We have heard fascinating back-stories from Assembly developer Jay Gipson and Gray Communications CEO Hilton Howell - the two responsible for delivering this mega-entertainment destination to the front doorstep of Atlanta. Gipson shared 'The Idea of The Idea' created by HGOR Principal Chris Mutter and his team, illustrating Howell and Gipson's vision of the 135-acre film and tv studio environment. 

We also received updates from Doraville Mayor Joseph Geierman, Veteran film director Bill Vanderkloot and Dekalb County CEO Michael Thurmond. Each has been a critical element in making this dream a reality for the City of Atlanta. 

The economic impact of this project will be life-changing! Atlanta and likely the entire state of Georgia will reap the benefits from this development due to the thousands of new jobs it will bring and additional work it will provide for numerous others already in roles that support the tv and film industry. 

The thousands who had always dreamed of getting into film now have opportunities right at their back door! For them, these opportunities will be available in a little over a year.
