The Most Significant Development This Century...Breaking Ground in December of 2022!
Groundbreaking ceremony coming soon for the development that will create thousands of jobs in Georgia and deliver vital research and data to serve the land and those who use it! The team of visionaries at the Rowen Foundation and innovators at landscape architecture and planning firm, HGOR, has developed a comprehensive master plan which will span 2,000 acres in Gwinnett County.
The mixed-use initiative, which will include research facilities, offices, multifamily and public space areas, is centered around a research hub focusing on the environment, agriculture and medicine.
The Rowen development will prioritize sustainability with master plan components for this driving factor, including:
🌍 A unique location of nearly 2,000 acres to be operated with sustainable, zero-emission methods
🌲 Reforestation and ecological enhancements, including reduction of embodied carbon to disturbed areas during construction
🌾 Agriculture and feed-source education
🔬 Education and a living laboratory for continued research on relationships between built and natural environments
💧 Sustainable water practices through the integration of stormwater management and groundwater recharge
☀️ Implementation of a climate resilience plan to mitigate human-induced influences
🌿 An extensive native plant palette
