NCR Corporation relocated its global headquarters from Gwinnett to Midtown Atlanta, Georgia, to define a new, transformational environment for its culture and workplace to attract the best and brightest talent, inspire employees, and excite customers. The new 700,00 SF Class-A headquarters promises a transparent and transformative work environment that fosters an open, engaged and highly collaborative culture to attract and inspire NCR’s next generation of innovative thinkers.

Positioned between two new office towers, HGOR designed the space as an exterior extension of the sixth-floor amenities. The space serves as a hub for various size functions. Designed to enhance and support the need for functional outdoor meeting space - the workplace oasis provides an aesthetic backdrop amongst the exposed rooftops in Altanta’s skyline. The central amenity space offers opportunities for respite and serves as a gathering point for corporate events.

The microclimate created on the 40,000 SF green roof is a single step in reestablishing native ecosystems in Altanta’s urban landscape, which benefits both the local urban environment and the region. Soils and plants provide an insulative blanket for the building, which reduces energy consumption and carbon production. The green roof at NCR’s headquarters is a lasting example of how we can protect and enhance our ecosystems in growing cities while creating attractive and functional user environments.
